Ross William Ulbricht (born 27 March 1984) created a darknet market named Silk Road and ran it until his 2013 arrest, under the pseudonym Dread Pirate Roberts. Ulbricht was convicted of money laundering, computer hacking and conspiracy to traffic narcotics in February 2015.
